IMZ Motorcycle Ural Frame/VIN Number Locations

If not listed the general locations for finding your motorcycle frame VIN number are:

• Head stock
  
• Frame down tubes
  
• Side frame rail
  
• Under the fuel tank or seat
  
• Engine mounting.

Early models left the Ural factory with a 6-digit serial number.  It should be stamped in at least three places:

1- On a silver data plate riveted to the steering head, 
2- On the right downtube just below the steering head.
3- On the left side of the lower frame

US and other country imports required a  17-digit serial number fixed onto the motorcycle frame . 
 These were often created by the importer and printed on a silver sticker which was placed over top the serial number on the right downtube.
​These often fell off after time .
