There are numerous BMW motorcycle model variations so the below should only be seen as a guide to the frame VIN and engine number locations. C1 enclosed scooter Lift the seat and the C1 frame VIN number is stamped into the top of the frame on the right hand side A silver VIN build plate is also riveted on the side of the reams just below the VIN number The engine number is stamped into the top of the engine case adjacent to the rear wheel in a dot matrix format F Series On the right hand side of the frame adjacent to the head stock there is also a VIN sticker/plate in the same area Engine number may be on the bottom left of the engine cover G series K Series K100 On the right side of the frame low down just above the foot rest. There should also be a Black VIN build plate riveted to the frame just above it The engine code may be on the right hand side low down below the cylinder head K1200 In the same area as above but on the inside face of the frame and a black VIN sticker The engine code may be on the top of the engine casing K1200LT Stamped into a protruding lip just behind and below the right side foot rest A VIN build plate my be found on the right side of the frame under the seat.Engine code is on the front of the engine case viewed through the air intake between the front fairing K1600 Frame number is near the right hand foot rest and a VIN build sticker is on the underside of the frame on the left above the rear wheel R Series R100 On front face the right rear frame bar A VIN sticker may be located lower down just below the exhaust pipe R1200 On a metal plate welded near the head stock either facing up or in viewed by looking between the top cover and the handlebars A VIN sticker may be found on the left hand frame in the centre above the engine or under the seat engine code may be on the right hand side and in the centre of the engine cover S1000RR |
